The demand for Ukrainian refined sunflower oil is increasing in the world
According to the press service of the Ukroliyaprom company, in the 2019-2020 marketing year, refined sunflower oil from Ukraine, including packaged products, will be in high demand in the international market.
If we compare the period from September to July 2019-2020 with the same period in 2018-2019, an increase in the volume of sunflower oil exports abroad becomes noticeable. We are talking about natural and value terms. So for example in terms of volume, an increase to 129% (up to 627.4 thousand tons) and in price terms – 136% (an increase to $ 555.5 million). It can also affect sunflower oil prices in Ukraine.
The changes also affected the geography of product export. So, according to the source, the EU countries began to import 2.2 times more Ukrainian oil, the number of products imported into the United States increased 2.4 times.
